Supporting you through life's transitions and losses

Lisa Whennell, integrative counsellor at Safe Harbour Counselling

Feeling lost or overwhelmed? You're not alone.

A Space for you

You don't need to have everything figured out before you come to counselling. Sometimes the starting point is simply knowing that something doesn't feel right.

Meet Lisa

Hello, I’m Lisa. I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor offering a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life.
I believe counselling should feel human. I won’t tell you what you should do or expect you to arrive knowing exactly what you need. We’ll explore things together, at a pace that feels right for you.
Warm, confidential counselling tailored to you.

My Approach

Working Together

I won't tell you what you should do. We'll explore what you're experiencing together, helping you understand your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you.

Counselling Tailored to You

As an Integrative Counsellor, I don't believe one approach fits everybody. Our work will be shaped around you, your experiences and what you hope to gain from counselling.

A Confidential Space
Counselling gives you a private and supportive space to talk openly about what is happening for you, without judgement.

Step 1

1. Get in Touch
Start with a free 20-minute introductory call. This gives you an opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling and ask any questions.

Step 2

2. See How It Feels
The introductory call gives us both an opportunity to consider whether working together feels right. There is no obligation to continue.

Step 3

3. Begin Counselling
If we decide to work together, sessions are 50 minutes and cost £45. Sessions can be face-to-face, online or by telephone, where appropriate.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does counselling cost?

Counselling sessions are £45 and last 50 minutes. Currently on Wednesdays 08.00am-6pm.

Do you offer a free introductory call?

Yes. I offer a free 20-minute introductory call on Fridays between 9am and 12pm. This gives us an opportunity to talk briefly and see whether working together feels right.

Where do counselling sessions take place?

Face-to-face sessions take place in my private garden counselling room.

Online and telephone counselling are also available, subject to suitability. Unfortunately, I am unable to provide counselling to clients located in the USA or Canada.

Counselling sessions are on a Wednesday 08:00 to 18:00.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes. What you tell me is treated confidentially, although there are some important exceptions, such as serious risk of harm, safeguarding concerns or where disclosure is required by law. We'll discuss confidentiality fully before beginning counselling.
